Don't be put off by this review, try it yourself . Woodchuck's website even has a locater, so I can find exactly what types of cider my local stores have. I use it to clean out my city of the winter edition! Its that good! The winter cider also makes the best stonewalls......
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-617966887138253806.post-47981182490774941072011-01-08T21:04:37.379-05:002011-01-08T21:04:37.379-05:00I'm a big cider fan. I really taste the oak and the vanilla in it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-617966887138253806.post-12385007010278105432011-01-06T09:38:17.109-05:002011-01-06T09:38:17.109-05:00Thanks for the advice!!Thanks for the advice!!DJ HawaiianShirthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00282879189919576765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-617966887138253806.post-19380016242610915922011-01-06T02:18:21.086-05:002011-01-06T02:18:21.086-05:00Hi,
Really appreciate the review - just picked u...Hi,

Really appreciate the review - just picked up a sixer of the Winter varietal myself, can't wait to try it!

I just discovered the seasonal ciders back in August. I'm a cider fan, so I like to try new varieties whenever I find them. Woodchuck is one of my favorites, so I thought it was awesome when I stumbled on a seasonal cider! I just wanted to let you know that while Winter may not be quite what you hoped, don't let that stop you from trying the other seasonals.

The "Summer" seasonal was the first one I stumbled across, back in August. (BevMo is the place that is likely to have them where I am, though in very low supply.) I picked a sixer(the only one they had), took it home - and wow. It really is great for summer - light, very refreshing, and that pleasant taste of blueberry really takes it to another level. What's nice about it is that the blueberry doesn't feel forced, or tacked-on - it melds well with the flavor of the apples, in a way I hadn't expected. Big thumbs up.

In September, I was surprised to find the Fall seasonal at my local pool hall. I gave it a shot, of course - another wow. Honestly, it tasted like autumn - it just did. Still refreshing, but not quite as light of a taste - it stayed in the mouth longer than the Summer. The cinnamon and nutmeg, like the blueberry, felt like they belonged and melded well with the apples. It brought a whole new meaning to the term "spiced apple cider."

I know I totally sound like a commercial, and I don't mean to, but I was just really, really surprised by the seasonals - when they come around again, give them a try!Cali Cider Fannoreply@blogger.com
